Livestock farm (Ben Tre) 51.75 kWp

WEB-1-1-min

In early July 2023, Sao Nam Company completed a Grid-tied Solar Energy System for a farm in Ben Tre province.

With the total installed capacity of this project, it can generate a large amount of electricity annually, helping reduce the financial burden of electricity costs for the farm owner. Furthermore, the farm uses a three-tiered electricity pricing system, making the installation of a “clean energy” system from Sao Nam essential, minimizing the significant costs during peak-hour electricity pricing. As a result, the annual CO2 emissions are substantially reduced, allowing the farm to establish a “green brand,” increasing competitiveness in the market, as 75% of today’s customers prioritize green products (according to Nielsen’s survey). Additionally, it is equivalent to planting thousands of trees each year, contributing to preserving a clean atmosphere for the planet.

These benefits are demonstrated through specific figures as follows:

Installed capacity: 51.75 kWp.

Electricity production: ~6,000 kWh/month.

Electricity cost savings: ~14,300,000 VND/month.

CO2 emissions reduced: ~30.56 tons/year.

Additional trees planted: ~1,403 trees/year.

Notably, the new “DC-optimized” technology from SolarEdge, a renowned Israeli brand, was utilized in this project. SolarEdge is a global leader in inverter technology for the electrical industry, with numerous manufacturing facilities worldwide, including Vietnam. Sao Nam Integrated Technology JSC is the major distributor and technical support provider for SolarEdge in the domestic market.

By implementing this advanced technology, the Ben Tre farm is ensured to be more fire-safe compared to traditional technology. Furthermore, it maximizes the output of each solar panel, even in the presence of shading, ensuring consistent energy production. Another notable advantage of SolarEdge technology is that farm owners can monitor and control each solar panel through the “mySolarEdge” app on their phones from anywhere and at any time.

This represents a long-term and effective investment for the comprehensive future development of the livestock farm in Ben Tre province.
